Types of Automotive PCB
  1. Flexible PCB:These circuit boards consist of flexible materials as the substrate. Their application can be found in car bends and corners.
  2. Rigid PCB: is made of FR4. These boards are not flexible. They are usually found in the display monitor and reverse cam screens.
  3. Rigid-Flex Boards: These boards are a combination of rigid and flexible boards. They are implemented in lighting systems.
  4. HDI PCB: These boards are characterized by higher density of wires per unit area, finer lines and spacing, and higher density of pad connections. HDI boards accommodate more components and play an important role in miniaturization. These circuit boards are widely used in information systems.
  5. LED PCB: is made of aluminum substrate because the aluminum substrate needs to dissipate heat. They can be found in car indicators, headlights and brake lights.
